different ‘types’ of ‘faces’.

Found this in the D&AD annual book 2009. This work is done by the Ken-tsai lee design studio team.

This brochure demonstrate a series of photos with people wearing a letter mask. which is a really inspirational approach to show different typefaces in different countries. Typeface is a set of one or more fonts, which designed with stylistic unity. They usually comprises an alphabet of letters, numerals, and punctuation marks.

From Lee’s work I can see that typefaces are the same as our faces. We express our feelings through facial expressions so do our writings and emotional words. Both have the same purpose but just in different forms.
