space. Japanese space.

My current project is about space and time and more importantly my aim is to create an exhibition space about a significant moment in history.

I found some interesting way finding and interior  design from a book ‘Graphic Japan: from woodblock and zen to manga and kawaii’ by Natalie Avella.

This work was done by a Japanese sign designer Masaaki Hiromura. It is designed for an University and from his work you can see that it has an architectural presence. I love his design approach about texture and space by using glass and concrete substance. I think glass is a form of elements which can divide the space but without interfere the connectivity between spaces.
